  1. What does bootcamp mean?
    Bootcamp means a short-term, intensive training program in which the participant achieves a certain goal. The program is focused on a specific outcome, such as fitness, learning skills, building team spirit or career development. In short, to promote well-being in different ways. Bootcamp is an effective way to achieve goals and take a new step in different areas of life.
  2. Where are SISU bootcamps held?
    The locations of the camps available to consumers vary. Check the location in the information of the respective camp where the camp is held.
    In camps aimed at companies, the location is agreed together with the company.
  3. How do I get to the campsite?
    Instructions are given separately for each camp, where the meeting place is. As a rule, trips are not included in the price of the camp. All matters related to transportation are announced separately in the camp information.
  4. How should I prepare for camp?
    Before the camp starts, the campers receive instructions on what to pack and how to prepare for camp. Equipment is largely related to appropriate clothing and personal hygiene. Other possible equipment can be a sleeping bag and snacks for those with special diets. The participant must have travel/accident insurance valid for the duration of the camp.
  5. How do you stay and sleep in the camps?
    Accommodation takes place in semi-team tents, cabins, sheds or other accommodation conditions protected from rain and wind. Accommodation may be changed during the camp.
  6. What is the camp program like?
    The camp program may vary depending on location, weather, camp duration and participants. The program is not announced precisely in advance, so that the sense of surprise remains as strong as possible. Participants are always offered sufficient rest time.
  7. Do the camps include meals?
    Yes, participants receive two hot meals and snacks during the day.
  8. Are there competitions at the camps?
    No, there is no competition at the camps. At the camps, people are divided into groups, where they perform assigned tasks and learn new skills together. One’s own limits are tested, but no one is left alone. Everyone can step into the discomfort zone, grow and learn and do things in a competitive spirit if the participants so agree, but otherwise the camp is not a competition. In the camps, we work together and learn as individuals.
  9. Who are the camp trainers?
    Trainers have varying careers and experience. Occupations range from professional soldiers, to combat athletes, massage therapists, firefighters, and hunting and adventure enthusiasts. There is also a management professional, life coach, nutritionist, work life skills teacher and many other professionals. Everyone has a common desire to offer experiential content safely, with a good attitude and SISU.
  10. In which language are the camps conducted?
    Finnish-speaking instructors are always present at the camps. The activity can also be guided in English. Depending on the camp, the trainers’ native language may vary. Everyone speaks at least English. The languages can also be Spanish, French, Swedish and in the future also other languages.
